LB Light | Facade elements for historic preservation and the reconstruction of historic facades

Historic buildings tell stories and shape the character of our cities and towns. When renovating historic buildings or reconstructing historic facades, it is essential to preserve the building’s original character while also meeting modern requirements for safety, durability, and energy efficiency.

Our non-combustible facade elements are ideally suited for use in historic preservation projects as well as for the faithful reconstruction of historic facade elements. Thanks to state-of-the-art CNC manufacturing, existing profiles, cornices, moldings, pilasters, window and door frames, boss stones, keystones, and decorative stucco elements can be replicated with the highest precision or newly manufactured based on historical plans and drawings.

Thanks to flexible manufacturing processes, virtually all profile cross-sections can be reproduced with precision. This allows damaged or lost facade elements to be replaced with exact replicas without altering the building’s architectural character. At the same time, building owners and designers benefit from the technical advantages of modern materials.

The non-combustible mineral wool core provides excellent thermal insulation and meets the highest standards for structural fire protection. The reinforcement on both sides with fiberglass mesh, along with the durable special cement coating, ensures high dimensional stability, weather resistance, and longevity—properties that are particularly important in the restoration of historic buildings.

Whether it’s a listed building, a historic city villa, a Wilhelminian-style facade, a castle, a city hall, a church, or a prestigious historic building—our facade elements combine traditional architecture with modern manufacturing technology. This results in durable and historically accurate solutions that meet the high standards of historic preservation as well as the demands of contemporary construction and renovation projects.
