Cornice | Cornices
Cornices are usually horizontal structural elements for facade design. They emphasise your facade in the roof area or between the individual storeys. They can be curved, angular or even very playful in design. Occasionally, they are further emphasised by profiled or toothed stones. As they usually protrude very far out of the facade, they are protected on the top by a sheet metal cover.

The terms cornice or cornices, also known as “sills,” refer to a nearly horizontal element that projects from a wall. Cornices are used in conjunction with architectural elements such as columns for the design of walls and facades. With its many variations, the cornice is an important design element in architecture, with origins dating back to ancient Greek architecture.
In addition to their decorative function, cornices can also serve a structural purpose; cornices protect the wall belowfrom the elements. We at LB Fassadenelemente GmbH offer a wide range of cornices for every application: roof cornices, gable cornices, window cornices, and window sill cornices, as well as cornices for the visual separation of floors (floor cornices) and so-called base cornices for the decorative finishing of the upper edge of a base.
The cornices we manufacture are characterized, depending on the design and material, by very low weight, a high insulation value, weather resistance, or fire safety requirements. We are also able to produce virtually any shape in a cost-effective manner.
