LB Light | Non-combustible facade elements with a mineral wool core – safety, thermal insulation, and long-lasting quality
The core of the facade elements consists of high-quality mineral wool. This non-combustible insulation material provides excellent thermal insulation properties and meets the highest standards for structural fire protection. At the same time, the mineral wool core helps save heating energy, increase living comfort, and sustainably improve the building’s energy efficiency.
To ensure high stability and long-term load-bearing capacity, the facade elements are reinforced on both sides with a durable fiberglass mesh. This reinforcement increases the strength of the elements, protects against cracking, and ensures a facade structure that retains its shape over time—even under demanding weather conditions.
The surface is coated with a specially developed cement-based skim coat. This forms a robust and weather-resistant protective layer while also creating the perfect foundation for custom surface textures and virtually any desired color scheme. This makes it possible to create modern facades as well as classic or historic preservation-compliant architectural designs.
Thanks to the combination of a mineral wool core, fiberglass mesh reinforcement, and a special cement coating, the result is non-combustible facade elements that meet the highest standards for fire protection, thermal insulation, durability, and design.
